Blog

Welcome to my blog! I originally started this blog to write about the launching of my non-profit project "Moni's Kids", which entails painting  portraits of children in need and using the proceeds to aid these kids. As time went by, it has also become a great way for me to share more about myself, my inspirations, creative process and techniques. I share with you my journey to become a full time artist, the joys and struggles that ensue. I welcome comments and questions and invite you to sign up to receive regular updates on the orange button on the left column. Thank you for visiting!

Lyle

Finishing up a couple of portrait commissions before The Big Move. This is Lyle, the little brother of Iris. Such great subjects to paint!

Painting in between packing, getting estimates from movers, processing the sale of two homes, arranging for renovations in the new home, selling stuff we no longer need on craigslist, getting ready for an Open Studio/Art Sale next week, etc, etc. NOT easy to get into that creative zone with all those other things fighting for space in my mind, but somehow it's all getting done. One more Up Close & Personal commission to go, then I will pack up the studio and will have a few weeks of moving and settling into the new space in California  before I can get back to painting!

Open Studio / California Dreamin’ Event

You are invited to an open studio event at Daggi Wallace Studio. This is a rare and exclusive opportunity just for you.

As many of you know I am moving to California in July and am clearing out studio space for new work. I would like you - my friends, fans, and collectors - have the opportunity to add some of my earlier work to your collection at greatly discounted prices.

I am doing this for several reasons:

1. To get to visit with those of you close by before I leave for California.

2. To give you the opportunity to find that special painting to give as a gift or keep for yourself. Art is a wonderful gift that uplifts and enriches for many years to come.

       3. To make room for new work in my studio and have less boxes for the movers!

                     4. To make my art affordable to everyone.
