Big News: After 44 years in the US I moved back to my hometown Berlin in 2023! I fly back to the States quite a bit and still have clients and shows there, plus I am always happy to ship my work anywhere a new home is waiting for it:)
I am also excited to announce that I recently moved my studio in Berlin to a new place with gallery space, joining two other artists who work in jewelry design and porcelain!

And we'd love it if you follow us on Instagram, too (@kunstwerk_90)!
My series Losing My Marbles has been extremely well received, with the figurative works incorporating them as metaphors to make emotional, spiritual or political statements and still lifes showcasing them in a contemporary style.
Since moving back home I also began work on a new series aptly titled Roots And Wings.
The best way to stay current on new work and happenings are to follow me on Instagram.
I also appreciate followers on Artsy where galleries such as 33 Contemporary and Abend Gallery who carry my work post new paintings as they become available. Followers help my work be more visible online and shown to other art lovers:)
Of course, you can also sign up for my newsletter which I vow to start sending out more regularly moving forward!
And if you would like to support me in other ways, you may do so through a small monthly contribution of $3-$10 here.
In the meantime, I invite you to read all about the Lunar Codex, a project founded by Dr. Samuel Peralta launching the works of over 30,000 artist, writers, musicians and filmmakers from 161 countries in 4 time capsules to THE MOON! I am thrilled to have over 30 images of my paintings included in this collection!

There And Back Again Exhibition in Camarillo, CA
Group exhibition featuring five artists who each process grief through their art in unique ways. I was invited to show my series of portraits of the victims of the Borderline mass shooting of November 7, 2018 in Thousand Oaks (you can see them here). I also added some new abstract work that references the devastating wild fires that happened right after the shooting. My theme of Fire And Ice is about the double tragedies and loss our community endured in just a matter of days.

THE BOLD BRUSH AWARD!!!

I Am No Bird; And No Net Ensnares Me II, 7"x11.5" pastel
My tiny pastel "I Am No Bird; And No Net Ensnares Me II" was awarded the honor of The BoldBrush Award in the July 2019 BoldBrush Painting competition! That is their top award worth $3350 (a good chunk of it in cash!)!! After many years of entering this competition and having been lucky enough to have won a total of 14 awards (not counting their FAV 15% selections) I never managed to snag the top spot. UNTIL NOW!!! Not only that, the juror was Clint Mansell, director of the prestigious Principle Gallery in Alexandria, VA, a gallery that has been an inspiration to me for years! A million thanks to Clint Mansell and the Bold Brush competition founded by Clint Watson! I am beyond amazed and grateful!! To see all of the winners click here: https://faso.com/boldbrush/winners/230.
