This is a companion piece to The Truth Seekerand addresses the fact that young people today very much reject any kind of box or label society tries to assign to them. Psychologists and counselors are realizing that today's youth do not view themselves or their peers as any one thing and are much more open to alternative life styles and beliefs in all areas including race, religion, politics, sexuality, professional paths, family, etc. They resent being labeled in any way and I regard this with hope and enthusiasm that they may forge new paths for themselves and indeed, all of us.
Accepted into the "The Art of Calm" exhibit at the Sugar Mynt Gallery in South Pasadena, CA, May-June 2016.
