Matted, not framed. Painted en plein air at the Mission San Antonio in Monterey County, CA, during a weekend paint out/retreat with the California Art Club. I wanted to paint something different from the more traditional views of the mission and decided to go more abstract by zooming in closely. I was fascinated by all the old tools laying around the mission grounds!
