I just love abstract patterns found in nature, like my Under the Boardwalk series of rusted objects, the Sentinels series of tree bark and this one of water patterns. This particular piece is based on a reference photo I took at Lake Tahoe, CA. The clear water over the rocks reflecting the sun streaks carried on the current was mesmerizing to observe. The pastel is floating between two sheets of glass for a very contemporary look (overall size measures 10x20"):
